Who is this course for?
Where a first aid needs assessment identifies the necessity for an emergency first aider in the workplace or community, this 6-hour qualification meets the requirements of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 and the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1982.
Upon completing this course, all learners will be equipped with the essential skills and knowledge to become proficient Emergency First Aiders, capable of delivering prompt, safe, and effective treatment to individuals in need. This training empowers them to make a meaningful difference in their organisation by confidently managing emergencies and ensuring the well-being of their colleagues and community.
The qualification is regulated in the UK and awarded by First Aid Awards (FAA), an awarding organisation regulated by Ofqual and SQA Accreditation. It sits on both the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF) and the Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework (SCQF).
The qualification is delivered, assessed, and quality assured in line with the Assessment Principles for Regulated First Aid Qualifications and the current Resuscitation Council UK Guidelines.
